Frequently asked questions

Is the meta tag analyzer free?

Yes. Anonymous users get a few analyses per day; a free account raises the limit and the Pro plan is unlimited.

Which meta tags does it read?

It reads the title, meta description, Open Graph tags (og:title, og:description, og:image, og:type), the canonical link, the robots meta and the first H1, plus a visible word count.

Do I need an account?

Not to start. You can analyze URLs without an account, within the daily limit for anonymous users.

Does it work on any website?

It works on most public sites. Pages that require login, block crawlers or take longer than 8 seconds to respond may not be read.

Is my data stored?

We don't store the content of the pages you analyze. The request is processed on the spot and we only record the usage count for the daily limit.
